Ike's 7th Birthday

Ike turned 7! He had a Mandalorian themed birthday with a Mandalorian and a Baby Yoda cake.  He has the coolest mom ever. 

 

I Love to Go to the Temple

Our temple opened up again for proxy baptism.  It has been closed since March 12th.  The 16-17 year old girls went and did baptisms for the dead.  It was so good to be in the temple again.  Emilie came with us too.

The next week, Jon took his Deacons to the temple and Garret and Grammy got to go with them. It was Nixon's 1st time going to the temple. 

 

Katie's Selfies and More

Katie thought her hair looked cute this morning so she took lots of selfies.  She texted me some of the selfies while I was at work.

Garret's 8th Grade Baseball Season

Garret is playing on the 8th grade varsity baseball team.  His coach is Mr. Schmerer. 

He had his first game on April 23rd.  They played North Pines and won 5-2.  Garret got to play center field and 1st base.  

2 of Garret's friends that he has played basketball with for years.  Jack DelMese, Garret, and Gavin Zehm.

3 of Garret's fellow buddies and teachers quorum members are on his baseball team.  Garret, Sam Javier, Nolan Orndorff, and Brenen Ladwig.

Garret went to batting practice with Jon and Nixon on Satruday and wore his baseball pants which are a little tight and short.  We went to Grammy's house to play games afterwards and he borrowed some of Grammy's leggings.  The leggings were too tight so then he put Grammy's PJ's on over them.

Emilie came for dinner tonight (and I made delicious Zuppa Toscana soup).  After dinner Katie and Emilie went rollerbladding.  Garret rode his bike for a bit and then rode the electric skate board.  He and Katie both wiped out and have awesome road rashes on their butts.

Katie and Garret have a great love-hate relationship.  They have a great time together until Katie reaches her limit and gets angry with Garret.  It was a beautiful Sabbath day and they were outside on the back porch working on Katie's devotionals for girls camp.  Then Jon and his family rode their e-bikes over to visit and Katie and Garret took a spin.  Katie was very brave to ride behind Garret.
