I went snow shoeing with Laura Silvey and Jessica Smith.  Have I said how much I like this?

Jumping at the Mall

We went to do a little shopping at the mall after going out to dinner (had to return some of Katie's birthday presents) and Garret begged to do the jump.  He loves doing back flips.  He did a double back flip too.

Idaho VS Eastern

Kirt and Garret went to the Idaho VS Eastern men's basketball game at Eastern.  Idaho got creamed by 25 points.  

 The Eastern Mascot came and sat by Garret because Garret was wearing an Idaho shirt.

Talking to Tanner

Last Friday, the day after Tanner's birthday, the church came out with a new policy that we can now talk to our missionaries by once a week!!! So excited! We talked to Tanner by Google Hangouts today.  It was so good to see him.  Not sure if we will talk to him every week, but at least we can talk to him more than 2 times a year now.

Happy Birthday Katie

This is the list that Katie gave me for her birthday weekend celebration.  Unfortunately things didn't quite go as she planned.  She did get to go to Altitude on Friday, but her friend Mady was sick so it wasn't as fun.  We didn't go skiing on Saturday because Garret had basketball games, but she did get to go on Tuesday thanks to our snow day.  We did have her family birthday dinner and cake on Sunday.  She opened her birthday presents Sunday night because she had to get up early Monday. Monday, her actual birthday was not as she planned at all.  She had to go to Pasco with the basketball team for a game.  She did get to play for a whole 1 minute and 44 seconds though so that was good.  And I did go down to the game so she could ride home with me and not on the bus.  Then that night, she had to go to an AAU basketball tryout that totally stressed her out.  Not exactly the birthday she was planning on.  Welcome to real life Katie.

More Snow Shoeing

Katie, Kendyll Fry, Delphia Fry, Jessica Smith and I did some more snow shoeing.  We went back to Iller Creek.  We did a 4 mile loop.  It was so fun, but we were exhausted by the time we were finished.  It is a lot of work when the snow is so deep.

Katie Plays Varsity Basketball

Several of the Varsity basketball players are hurt, so Katie got asked to suit up and sit on the bench.  They played Friday against CV and lost, today against Richland and won.  They got to play in the Spokane Arena today.  

Katie got to play for a total of 1 minute and 44 seconds in the Chiawana game in Pasco on her birthday.  Happy birthday Katie.  She played 1 minute and 11 seconds at the start of the 2nd quarter and 33 seconds at the end of the game.

Math is Cool 2019

Garret competed in the Math is Cool competition today! His teammates were Nolan Orndorff, Emily Osborn and Jonah Soderquist.

Altitude

As part of Katie's birthday weekend extravaganza, she went to Altitude with her friends Kendyll Fry and Olivia Tolley (Madison Crandall was sick and couldn't go). Garret got to tag along too.  We went to ice-cream at Pete & Belle's afterwards.
