Italy Trip Day 1

We are going to Italy.  We are so excited!! We left Spokane at 5:30am.  We almost missed our plane, but we made it on at 5:25am and the plane pulled out at 5:27am. The security line was so long.  We flew from Spokane to Seattle, Seattle to JFK, and from JFK to Milan, Italy.  We actually got a little sleep on the flight from JFK to Milan.  We got to fly in Delta comfort, so that helped a lot.  Gave us just a little more space.  And we were on the side with just the 2 of us so that helped too.  

 

Garret's Freshman Tennis Season

Garret has decided he would play tennis this year instead of baseball.  I have been encouraging him to play all year.  He won't admit it, but he really likes it.  He had his first match on 3-22-22 and he played #2 doubles on varsity.  He and his partner Ben Urzika won 6-0, 6-1 against Ridgeline. His coaches are Brian Osborn and Dan Tenney. 

 

Washington State Senior All State Game

Katie got asked to play in the Washington State senior all state game over in Seattle.  The game was played at King's School (this happen's to be where Katie's boyfriend, Corey Kispert went to high school).  They invited 10 high school seniors from 3A and 10 from 4A and they played a game against each other.  Katie had an awesome game.  She had 11 points (the person taking the stats missed her 3 pointer).  It was a great last hurrah.  Katie has decided that she is for sure done with basketball.  She had a great career, and we have loved watching her play.  It was a great day except for the fact that we drove over to Seattle and back in a day.  That made it a very long day.

Katie actually had 11 points.  They missed her 3 pointer.

Dinner with Grammy and Pompa

Grammy and Pompa have a tradition of taking their grandkids out to dinner for their birthdays.  They hadn't gotten to take Tanner and Katie out to dinner for their birthdays yet so they took them to Texas Roadhouse tonight.  Garret and Emilie got to tag along too.  They are all so spoiled and have amazing grandparents. 

 

Katie and Emilie go to Wicked

Katie got tickets to Wicked for her birthday and she took Emilie with her to see it.  Their seats weren't the best, but they still loved it!

 

Katie's Basketball Awards Night

Katie received her 3rd letter in basketball.  (She actually just got her letter today though because they didn't have an awards night after her sophomore season in 2020 because Covid started, and they didn't have one after her junior season in 2021 because it was a weird short season and finished right as school was ending in June.) Katie was awarded the "Titan Award" because she embodies everything that it means to be an awesome Titan.  (Pretty much that means she's just an amazingly awesome person!)

 

Thriller

Michelle did a Thriller dance for a RS activity.  She really pulled off the zombie look.  She looks so scary.
