Garret got to go on Trek. It was Wednesday-Saturday June 26-29. His Ma and Pa were Dulce and Clay Tenney (they are actually the people that bought Grammy and Pompa's house). His trek family was Reagan Young, Kora Daines, Jade Almengor, Paige Dalton, Noah Ward, Jordan Folsom, and Mcewan Haney. They went down to a church owned trek called Bing Canyon Pioneer campy approximately 10 miles northwest of Plymouth Washington. They rode school buses to the camp on Wednesday. When they got there, they hiked about 3 miles and then set up camp. It was super windy that night with winds up to 30 miles an hour. It made setting up camp really difficult. Thursday they hiked about 8 miles. Friday they hiked about 4. They got back to the place called Zion on Friday, a grassy area with running water and got to have a whole afternoon of free time. They ran through the sprinklers, visited, played games and spike ball. Saturday they rode the school buses home.
From Garret's Pa, Clay Tenney. Garret is such an amazing young man. The depth of his testimony filled me with such hope and confidence in this rising generation. I can feel how much he loves the Lord and seeks to do the right. He is so kind, compassionate and attentive to the thoughts and feelings of others. His sense of humor was so welcoming. You have been blessed with one of Heavenly Father's noble and great souls. I know that much of who he is and has become is because of wonderful parents. It was a pleasure and a blessing having Garret in our trek family.
