Lake over Labor Day

We went to the lake on the Saturday before labor day and the Monday of Labor Day.  Our friends the Wolcott's came on Saturday and our friends the Damiano's came on Monday.  It was great to get some lake time in before the summer ends. 

 

Tanner's First Day of School

Tanner's first day of school at the University of Hawaii.  He is really hoping it is finally his last first day of school.  He thought that last year so hopefully it really sticks this time.  He is studying to get a Masters of Finance.  All of his classes are night classes.  He has class Monday-Thursday from 6pm-9pm.  Not his favorite.  

 

Ward Campout

We had a ward campout at Camp Peine.  The elder's quorum planned it so Kirt felt like he needed to go.  I had to work, so just he and Garret went.  There were 2 other families that came.  The Zapalac's, but just Chris and the 2 girls and the Keller's, but just Brit and her 3 girls.  So it was a little awkward, 2 men and 1 woman.  Good thing there were kids there.  Kirt took the boat and took everyone on boat rides.  

 

Seminary Reunion

It was my 30th class reunion today.  I had decided that I didn't want to go.  There isn't really anyone that I want to see that I don't already keep in contact with.  Then one of my high school friends planned a seminary reunion at the park a few hours before the reunion.  She invited anyone to come that was our year and a few years older and younger.  I decided last minute to go to it.  Going to this made me so glad that I decided not to go to my reunion.  It was kind of awkward.  I didn't recognize half of them.  I didn't have much to say to anyone.  It really wasn't that bad.  I think I'm just old and grumpy. 

 

Backyard Concert

Our friend Mark Orndorff is in a band.  His daughter Clara was home for the summer and she joined the band.  They put on a concert in their backyard.  It was so fun.  They did an awesome job and it was so fun to see how happy it made them to sing and perform together.  

 

It's Always Fun When Jessy Comes

 We always try and jam as many things as we can in when Jessy comes.  We love it when she comes, but we are all a little crazy by the time she leaves.  We want to spend time with her and the kids so we probably do too many things and spend too much time together but we have to get it all in before she leaves again.

I took Ike and Annie to my friend Stacy's community garden plot.  We painted vases and picked and arranged the flowers.  Stacy made Annie a flower crown.
