Wise Men?

We went to a play about the birth of the Saviour and the events leading up to it last night at our stake center. It was really good, but a little long. So we were driving home from the play, and we asked Tanner what his favorite part of the play was. He said his favorite part was that they didn't have the wise men come because that would have made the play even longer. So Kirt started quizzing the kids on what they knew about the wise men. He asked what the gifts were that the wise men brought to Jesus. Tanner said "gold, frankenstein and meth"? We have definitely been teaching him well.

What Are You Thankful For?

We were having our Thanksgiving dinner and of course we were going around the table saying what we were thankful for. Totally unprompted Garret said that he was thankful for the hot tub and the lawn mower. He absolutely loves those two things.

Katie's Thanksgiving Program

Katie's class did a little Thanksgiving program today in their class. They sang 3 songs about turkeys, told us what they were thankful for, and gave us pumpkin muffins that they had made for us the day before.

A New Level of Tattle Telling

So before church last week, I told the kids to go and get a healthy snack, and then I went upstairs to finish getting ready. A few minutes later Katie comes running upstairs yelling that Garret was eating cookies. Then she says that she could prove it and shows me a picture that she had taken with my phone of Garret eating cookies. What are they going to think of next?

Where's Everybody?

One of Garret's favorite thing to do each day, is say "Where's Tanner? Where's Katie?" And on and on with about everyone he knows. He has even added the 2 neighbor kids who walk to school with Tanner and Katie to the list. I get so tired of answering that I now say "you know where they are" when he asks where all the various people he knows are. Another piece of background for the story is that Kirt gets up each morning and spends about a half hour sitting on the toilet going to the bathroom, reviewing his day on his iphone, and reading. So the other day as we were on our way from the gym, he says "where's daddy?" I of course say "you know where he is". And he says, "home on the potty."
