Girl Time

Have to get in all the girl time that they can before Mady and Olivia leave for college.  

 

Fireworks at St Maries Idaho

St Maries has the best fireworks show ever.  It is always on the Sunday of Labor Day.  We met Tanner and Emilie there and watched the firework show.  It was so cool!!

Katie and Evan Zapalac

Evan Zapalac is leaving on his mission soon and he talked in church today.  His mom Tiffani and I have arranged for he and Katie to be married after he gets home.  If only we got to choose our child's spouse. 

 

Sandwich Note

When Kirt and I were first married, he made my lunch and he put a in my sandwich.  I didn't know it was there and by the time I went to eat the sandwich, the note was soggy so I didn't notice it, and I ate them. He asked me if I had gotten my note, and I said I didn't.  He told me what he had done, and we laughed about it.  He made my lunch a few more times and put notes in the sandwich.  I never remembered to look so I always just ate the notes without knowing they were there.  We told the kids this story recently so Katie made Kirt a sandwich and put a note in it, and you guessed it, he ate it.  

 

Priest Lake with Rhett

Katie went to Priest Lake to her friend Rhett's cabin.  Rhett's dad too them on a wild tube ride. 

 

Last Weekend at the Lake

Labor Day Weekend is always the saddest weekend of the year.  It's the last weekend at the lake, and it means that school is starting next week, and that cold days are coming soon.  Kirt, Katie, Garret and I went to the lake on Friday.  I had to work on Saturday.  Sunday night we went to the fireworks in St Maries (in another post).  Then Monday Tanner and Emilie joined us at the lake.  We love you lake.  Goodbye until next year.
