Vancouver Trip for Garret's State Tennis Tournament

Tanner, Emilie, and Katie were all in town this week so we all made the trek over to Vancouver to see Garret play in the state tennis tourament.  Grammy and Pompa came with us too.  On the way over we stopped to see Multnomah Falls.  They were so pretty.  We stayed in an AirBNB all together.  We watched Garret play tennis on the 23rd, Garret's birthday.  He lost his first match and won his second.  We went to a late lunch after the matches at Red Robin.  After that Tanner, Emilie, Katie, Grammy, and I went to Portland and walked around downtown.  We went to the Nike Store, Powell's Bookstore, and Voodoo Donuts.  Garret lost his match the next day and was out of the tournament.  We drove home after his match. 

We drove home the scenic way along the Washington border and went for a short hike with a view.  Then we crossed over the Bridge of the Gods to drive home on the Oregon side. 

Temple Sealings

We did sealings at the temple this morning.  We did several sealings where we sealed multiple children at once to their parents.  It was really sweet.

 

Mother's Day

We had Mother's Day dinner at Jon's house.  I volunteered to do it because I didn't want my mom to have to do it because she is going to be doing everything by herself for 3 years since I'm going to be gone, and Jon was really nice and offered to host.  

Jon and his kids made these sunshine posters and wrote notes on them and took them to all the women in their lives who had helped to mother them over the years.  It was so sweet and thoughtful.

 

Garret's Senior Prom

Garret went to senior prom with Ashlyn Barlow. They went to dinner at the Dockside in CDA.  The dance was downtown at the Knitting Factory.  They went to Ashlyn's house after the dance.
