1st Day of School 2011

Tanner is a 6th grader. I can't believe that I have a child in middle school. That makes me old, doesn't it? I wanted to walk him to school and go in with him and make sure that he could open his locker and find his class, but he wouldn't let me. My baby is all grown up. The only thing he really had to say about his 1st day was that it was boring.

Notice his new braces. He got them on the day before school started.

Katie was so excited to go back to school. She says that she likes school better than home. I think that I like it better sometimes too when she is in school:) She has 2 teachers this year. Mrs. Cole and Mrs. Tesky. They job share. Mrs. Tesky teaches every Monday and Tuesday and Mrs. Cole teaches every Thursday and Friday. Then they teach every other Wednesday. They are both great teachers.

Garret is going to Teacher Barbara this year. We have to call it Teacher Barbara because he's not going to preschool (that's what we called it last year when he went to Miss Lexie), he's going to Teacher Barbara. If people ask him if he's going to pre-school, he says no. He loved his first week.

Who lets that kid wear shorts? And what happened to the normal picture taking place over by the tree? And, yes, you are old, having a kid in middle school makes you ancient...
