We had a dutch oven cook off for our ward party. We did this last year. When they announced it last year, Garret didn't know what a cook off was so we looked it up. We found out that a cook off is a cooking competition where the contestants each prepare dishes for judging either by a select group of judges or by the general public. So we went to the cook off and there were no judges and Garret was very disappointed. So this year in honor of Garret, they asked the deacons to be the judges of the cook off. The winners won golden cooking utensils. The kids had lots of fun running around and playing kickball and the adults enjoyed visiting. We also kicked off our "Ward in Heaven" family history activity. We are going to try and do all the ordinances for 200 people before the end of the year.
