Friday night Garret left his phone out on the grass by the basketball hoop last night and forgot to pick it up when he was done. Saturday morning he remembered that he left it out there and went out to look for it, and it was not there. He had Katie do find my iPhone, and it was somewhere 3 miles away from our house. So they woke Kirt up and told him that Garret's phone had been taken from the grass on the side of the house. (I was out on a walk with Shannan.) Kirt decides that he is going to get in the car and follow the find my phone icon and see if he can go and find it. He starts driving towards it. It was originally near Argonne and Montgomery when the kids first showed him, but now it was closer to the Valley Mall. When he got to the spot near the mall where it showed it was located, the only person in the vicinity was a homeless lady. Kirt went up to her and asked her if she had a cell phone that wasn't hers. She held up Garret's phone and said "do you mean this one?" Kirt told her that it was his sons phone. She said that she had found it in someone's lawn last night and that she was going to take it to the AT&T store. She gave it back to Kirt. Kirt gave her some money for giving it back. Can you believe that Kirt actually got Garret's phone back?? And actually we should thank the lady, because if she hadn't picked it up, it would have gotten ruined by the sprinklers.
