Katie and Garret went to Silver Mountain over Martin Luther King Day with the Thompson family. Garret went with Jaden and Katie went with Tanaeya. Mary came with Tanaeya too. On Saturday they were going to go skiing, but because of the wind storm that we had on Wednesday, there was no power at the top of the ski hill. So they went to the waterpark instead (they were originally going to do the waterpark on Monday.) Then on Sunday they power was still out on the ski hill and they weren't sure it was going to be back on by Monday, so they checked out of the hotel they were staying at because they didn't want to pay for it if they weren't going to be able to ski on Monday. They went to church in CDA on their way home. They even got to go to 2 hours of church there. Then they went to the Thompson's house and spent the night. They had fun playing games and visiting. The power came back on at the top of Silver Mountain so they decided to go skiing on Monday. They had lots of fun skiing on Monday and were so tired when they got home Monday night. Kirt and I had a relaxing weekend with no kids at home.
