Emilie flew to Spokane today from St George to return to school. We were going to pick her up, and she was going to have dinner with us and then we were going to take her to her apartment. Tanner decided he wanted to pick her up and then they were both going to come for dinner. Emilie texted me that Tanner wanted to surprise us, but she had to tell us not to pick her up at the airport. She told us to act surprised when they came. I wasn't going to tell anyone else, but I'm not very good at keeping a secret. Tanner was bummed that we weren't surprised. It was really fun to have them come. It was the first time that we had seen Tanner and Emilie together. They told us that they are planning on getting married in August in the Cedar City Temple. They are not officially engaged yet, just planning to get married. Tanner made Emilie try Mate. She thought it was so gross. Grammy and Pompa came over to say hi too.
Garret and Tanner played sting pong. Garret still had welts from it a few days later.
