Vegetation near the Irazu Volcano
One of the craters at Irazu Volcano. Right after we got there, the fog and clouds rolled in and we couldn't see the craters at all. We were kind of bummed. We hung out for about 45 minutes and it didn't clear up. When we went to Irazu last time, there was really pretty water in the crater of the main volcano, but it the crater was dry this time.

Visiting Marialos Vergas. Kirt lived across the street from her when he was on his mission and he had lunch and dinner at her house every day. Her grandson Jose Luis was at her house when we visited. Katie and Garret played Play Station with him.
Marialos had a cake for us and when she heard it was Katie's birthday, she put a candle on it for Katie and we sang happy birthday to Katie in Spanish.
We also visited Romeo and Juliet Lopez another couple that Kirt knew from his mission.
