We got up and rode the train into Johannesburg. We are staying out by the airport in the suburbs NE of the city. We rode on a Hop On Hop Off Bus that toured around the city of Joburg (that's one of the nicknames of Johannesburg). We got off the bus and went to the Apartheid Museum. Then we finished the tour of the city on the bus. We rode the train home. When we got back to the train station, we saw a bunch of cops running around. We later learned that a man had just been mugged at gun point. We were very grateful we hadn't been a few minutes earlier. We came back to the hotel and thought we we all adjusted to the time and ready to sleep through the night. Everyone feel asleep fairly easily around 10:30 or 11, but then Garret woke us all up around 1:30am and none of us were able to go back to sleep until around 5am. So much for being over the jet lag. Benadryl again for all tonight.
Garret was very antsy today and kept changing seats when we were on the bus. One time he changed seats and went to sit by Kirt. Kirt started talking to Garret and Garret said "It's nice to finally to talk someone who doesn't say go away it Garret."
