Light the World

It was the 1st night of Light the World (the churches way to encourage people to do acts of kindness during the Christmas season) and we were looking on LDS.org for the 1st days suggestions of how to light the world.  There were examples posted of how people were lighting the world and we saw Will and Lucy!

Perfect Attendance

Tanner and Katie were both recognized in November as students with perfect attendance.  Way to go!

Fleece Blankets

The 5th grade classes at Chester made about 75 fleece blankets to give to a teen shelter.

Value Village

Tanner and some of his basketball friends went to Value Village (a thrift store) and found some nice outfits for themselves.

Thanksgiving 2017

We hosted Thanksgiving this year.  Grammy & Pompa, Jon and his family, Cameron and his family, and the Crandall family came.  It was a typical Thanksgiving.  We spent all morning cooking and then the food is gone in about 15 minutes.  

 We went and played volleyball, basketball and went rock climbing at Kirt's office on Thanksgiving night.

My New Hair Cut

I got my hair cut and colored by Jessie Tenney.  I really like it. (I'm terrible at selfies.)

Idaho Game

Kirt and Tanner went down to see an Idaho basketball game in the Memorial Gym.  

YW Evening in Excellence

Katie had YW Evening in Excellence tonight.  Katie shared one of the value projects that she has just completed.  She learned about 20 hymns so that she can accompany the YW.  Way to go Katie!

Katie's 8th grade volleyball

Katie loved playing volleyball for Horizon again this year.  Her coach was Tony Collins.  Her team really improved this season.  Katie has a great serve and passes the ball very well.

Garth Brooks Concert

I got to go to the Garth Brooks Concert with Michelle, Taraka and Kathryn (Taraka's step-mom).  This was the best concert I have ever been to.  I remembered all the words to every song and sang along at the top of my lungs.  Trisha Yearwood was there and sang too.  It was so much fun!! (The only bad part was that when we came out of the concert, one of my windows had been smashed in.)

Ski Bench

Katie and I went to the ski store and Katie wanted her picture taken on this cool bench swing made of skis.

National Letter of Intent Signing Day

Tanner signed his National Letter of Intent to play basketball at the University of Idaho!! We are so proud of his and excited for him.  He signed it at the high school in his coach, Mr. Phillips, classroom. We went out to breakfast a Denny's afterwards to celebrate.
