New Year's Eve 2020

For New Year's Eve, Garret went over to his friend Brennen Ladwig's house.  Brennen invited all the boys from the Deacon's quorum to play video games and watch a movie.
Katie went to a New Year's slumber party at Mary's house with her girl friends.  They stayed up til 5am talking about who knows what.

Kirt and I invited some friends over.  Only the Susan and Rob Damiano ended up coming. We visited and played games.  We only made it until 10:30.  Kirt was nice and stayed up until midnight to pick Garret up.  I crashed at 11.  I know, I'm a party pooper.

Idaho VS Northern Arizona

Idaho played NAU on Thursday and Saturday for their 1st home games.  Unfortunately we still don't get to go and watch the games.  At least we can watch them streamed on Pluto TV.  And sadly they lost both games.  The Saturday game was super close and they lost in overtime. Here are some fun pictures that we stole from the Idaho basketball Twitter page.

Tanner's locker with his jersey all set out for game day. Notice the plaque at the top with his name on it.

Locker room all ready for game day.  Tanner's uniform is the first one on the right.  Go #32!

Playing in the Snow

We didn't have snow for Christmas, but it did snow the day after Christmas.  Katie and Garret had fun playing in it.
Garret was laying in the snow and would eat the snow with no hands, just stuck his face in it and ate it.
Katie buried Garret in the snow and gave him some snow boobs.

Christmas 2020

Christmas was a little different this year.  It was only the 4 of us because of stupid Covid.  We baked a bunch of food and then we took it to Grammy's and exchanged it.  We had oreo balls, cheese balls, and egg casserole.  Then we had Christmas Eve on Zoom.  We had it with the Spear family 1st.  We played 2 rounds of Deal or No Deal with Grammy and Pompa.  Katie and Garret both won $25. Tanner only won $7.10.  He never takes the deal and stays in til the bitter end.  Then we had a Zoom meeting with the Christensen family.  We played a Kahoot game made by Mason that had a fun questions about each member of the family. There are 59 members of the family now so there were a lot of questions.  Then Tami did a scavenger hunt.  Then we read the Christmas story and sang some songs.  (Singing songs on Zoom is awful, but we did it anyway.)  Then Grandma Christensen shared some of her favorite acts of service that we had all shared with her over the years.  After the Zoom calls we talked to Tanner a bunch on Facetime.  We opened our PJ's and went to bed.  Christmas morning we opened presents with Tanner on Facetime.  Then we had breakfast with Grammy and Pompa over Facetime.  I crashed and took a nap before noon.  The Covid fatigue hit me.  We played some of the new games we got and watched Wonder Women in the evening.

Tanner Goes to St George with Emilie

Since we had Covid and Tanner couldn't come home for Christmas, he went to St. George with his girlfriend Emilie.  He was in Utah already for the University of Utah game, so he took a bus down to St. George.  He stayed in St. George from December 19th-December 23rd.  He had lots of fun in with Emilie and got to meet all of her family.  I think he is a goner and that he will be married by summer.  When he flew back to Spokane, Grammy and Pompa picked him up from the airport and took him back to Moscow. (They had thankfully just gotten back their negative Covid tests.)
