Silly Kids

It's really hard to get a serious picture with these 2 boys around

Garret Receives His Endownment

Garret got endowed today.  We got special permission for him to receive his endowments before he graduated because we are leaving on our mission.  It was a really special day.  All of my children were there, my parents, and my siblings and their spouses except for Josh.

Last Day on the Boat

Last family day on the boat.  We went to Hauser Lake.  The weather cooperated and it was a beautiful day.  We have had 15 wonderful years with this boat.  So many great family memories have been created when we were boating.  We will miss you boat.  (Kirt you better follow through with your promise and buy me an amazing wake surf boat when we get home from our mission)

Wake surfing!

Garret doing his crazy wake surfing without the board. At least he didn't loose his swimsuit this time.

Garret and Tanner tried to get up on the wake surfboard together.  It didn't work but it was entertaining to watch.

Skydiving

For Garret's 18th birthday he really wanted to go skydiving with his brother and his sister.  Since he is so spoiled (and loved) he got his wish.  On Memorial Day, we went out to the West Plains near Ritzville and his wildest dreams came true.  He got to go skydiving!! Tanner and Katie were so thrilled that he included them in his birthday wish because they all 3 had a blast!

Getting their harness on and receiving their instructions.  The lady Tanner went tandem with was so short.  He thought he was going to be carrying her around like a backpack.

They are ready to go!

Getting on the plane

Taking off! It took them about 15 minutes to get up to an altitude of 13,000 feet which is the height that they jumped from.

First sighting

Tanner was 1st

Then Garret

Then Katie

1st look at them right after they landed

Garret's tandem person did a few barrel rolls when they 1st jumped out of the plane and Garret got motion sick and barfed all over himself.  Thankfully he didn't get very much on his instructor. He's a little green in this picture.  He still thought it was awesome though!

On the way home, I was going to stop at Costco, but it was closed because it was Memorial Day.  I did a quick U-turn in the parking lot.  Garret had been fine the whole hour ride home, but the U-turn did him in and he got car sick and threw up again.  Thankfully I carry gallon size zip lock bags in the car and Katie quickly handed him one.  Poor Emilie started dry heaving when Garret was throwing up.  The rest of us felt bad, but it was awfully funny and we couldn't stop laughing.  Emilie was talking to her brother Josh on his mission on Messenger and he got to hear the whole thing too.
