Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day to Me

My birthday fell on Mother's Day this year.  The kids all made me really nice cards.  They also made me waffles with strawberries and whip cream for breakfast. Michelle made dinner for my birthday and for Mother's Day.

 They got me some beautiful flowers. (Well actually I was at Costco on Friday and picked them out myself and told Katie to give them to me for Mother's Day and my birthday.)

Lake Fun

Kirt, Tanner, and Garret went to the lake on Friday afternoon and went mountain biking.  They had some yummy dinner from the Mexican Restaurant in Spirit Lake.  Katie and I stayed home and got take out from Cafe Rio and watched Miss Congeniality.  Katie and I went out to the lake Saturday morning.  Jon and Michelle and the kids came out.  Grammy came out in the afternoon.  Brent and Jenn Clark and their kids came out for the evening.  It was fun to sit in the sun and visit with people.  We went for 4 wheeler rides and jet ski rides.  The kids even got in the water even though the water was so cold.

Kirt went mountain biking with his buddies from our ward Jon Tolley and Devin Hatch. Devin had never been mountain biking before.  He had a great time.

More Puzzles

I finished 2 puzzles this weekend.  The toy story was 750 pieces and the US one was 500.  Thanks Zapalac's for sharing your puzzles with me. 

Senior Prom Canceled

Senior Prom was supposed to be tonight but it was canceled because of the Coronavirus.  Madison was so sad to not be able to go.  She had already bought her dress, so she dressed up tonight along with the rest of her family and they had a fancy dinner for her.  It's tradition for Katie and Olivia to get a picture with her before her dances, so we did one tonight.  

Boys Night at the Lake

Kirt, Tanner, and Garret went out Friday afternoon and spent the night at the lake.  They did some more setting up on Friday night.  Then the BBQed steaks and had tons of s'mores.  Saturday they rode the jet ski and went for a hike.  Katie and I stayed home and enjoyed some time away from the boys.  Friday night we went and played games with Grammy and Pompa. 

Katie's Picnic and Bike Ride

Katie had her friends Mary Gubler, Lilly Peterson, and Taneaya Thompson over for a social distancing picnic.  The ate lunch, visited, and played volleyball. They did pretty good keeping their distance until it came time for pictures.  

After her picnic, Katie went for a bike ride with Mady, Olivia, and Kendyll.
