Grammy and Pompa and Crystal and Eric Lovinger had a trip down to Provo planned to watch a BYU football game and I invited myself to go with them so that I could see Katie. It was so fun to see her. We went down on Friday and got there late Friday night. Katie and I went for a walk around the temple. She came and slept with me at Kevin's house. On Saturday morning, we got up and went for another walk. Grammy came with us. We walked around campus and Katie showed us where all of her classes were. After showering, we went to the BYU bookstore with Marsha and Peggy and Grammy. We also went to the MOA. Then Katie and I went to the mall to buy her some boots (which she has already returned). Then we had lunch with my cousins Nikki, Shelly and Erin. It was so fun to see them and catch up on their lives. After lunch, Katie did homework and I went up to Saratoga Springs to wist with Tami (Kirt's sister). Mason and Owen had soccer games in the Wasatch Front today. Tami caught me up on all the things that were happening in the Christensen family. Then we went to the BYU vs Wyoming Football game. Grammy, Pompa, Marsha, Katie, and I all got to sit in the President's box thanks to Kevin. Before the game, we went over and said hi to Jacque Barrington. Both her boys, Clark and Campbell, play on BYU"s football team. The box was fun to sit in. The food was yummy and the seats were super comfy. Elder Gong was also sitting in the box. Sunday I went to church with Katie (much to her dismay). After church Kevin and Peggy made us a delicious lunch. I went and visited with Candice after lunch. It was so good to see her. She always brightens my day. On the way back to Kevin and Peggy's, I stopped at Orem Community Hospital where I used to work. It has almost been 20 years since I left. One of my co-workers from when I worked there was working and she let me come in and gave me a tour. Katie and I went for a walk that evening and then I took her back to her dorm. It was so hard to say good-bye. I love being with her. She is my best friend. We drove home Monday. It seemed like a very long drive for some reason.
Katie went to Mason's game Friday night before I got there.
