Spring Break

I have to work during Spring Break which is April 7-11, so I flew down early on April 3rd to spend some time with Katie. She picked me up from the airport. She brought me Swig and donuts. We went to the outlet malls in Lehi on the way back to her apartment and did some shopping. We got to her apartment and I had a mission meeting with Brother Littlefield. Then we went to lunch with her roommates Allie Christensen and Kate Jacobsen at a Mexican restaurant. We went for a walk after lunch. We went to dinner at a acai bowl restaurant and then we went to the BYU men's volleyball game.

The next morning April 4th, Katie had to take a test and I had my spanish lesson. After that we went and visited some friends. We visited my friend Candice Beckwith and my friend Jenn Hilbig. Then we drove to Salt Lake and had dinner with Madison and Olivia.

Kirt and Garret started the long drive down to Utah and drove all the way on Friday April 4th. They got to Utah and stayed the night with Joel Peterson.

Saturday April 5th Katie and I got up and went for a walk. We listened to General Conference as we got ready and then listened in the car as we drove to the Peterson's house. We got Garret and we went and did some mission shopping. We watched the 2nd Saturday session of conterfence at the Peterson's house. Then we went to dinner with the Petersons. Kirt and Garret went back to stay at the Peterson's and Katie and I went back to Provo. We stopped and saw my cousin Nikki on the way back down to Provo.

Sunday April 6th Katie and I got up and got ready for conference. We met Kirt and Garret at a parking lot in Lehi and rode the rest of the way to Salt Lake together in Katie's car. We went to General Conference. We were only about 10 rows from the front, but we were all the way over on the left side of the conference center so we couldn't even really see anything, but it was still cool to be there. Our friend Shane Manwaring who is a police officer was there and he surprised me. Kirt knew he was going to be there, but I didn't. I hadn't seen him in years. It was a good surprise. After conference we went up to Lindsey and Kyle's house in Sryacuse and had dinner. Brett and Kristie and their family were there as well as Kari, Dave, and Trevor. It was fun to see them all. Then Katie, Kirt, and Garret took me to the airport and I flew home because I have to work on Monday. Kirt and Garret stayed another night with the Peterson's and Katie went home to Provo. Kirt went and visited with his friends the Collado family that he knew from his mission in Costa Rica.

Monday April 7th, Kirt and Garret went snowboarding at Brighton

After snowboarding they went to Costco to get some grub.

Then they went to visit Grandpa Christensen who is in the hospital in Salt Lake. Dave, Kari, and Trevor were there visiting too.

Then they went to visit Kirt's friend Shane Manwaring

Tuesday April 8th, Kirt and Garret went snowboarding again at Brighton. Garret spent the night in Provo with Katie at her apartment after snowboarding. They toured the campus of BYU, had dinner with Kathleen at the Creamery, and played pickle ball with Katie's roommate Kate and her boyfriend Sam. Kirt went to dinner with his friend Travis Tolley. Then he hung out with Joel in the hot tub.
