Manuel Antonio

The 3 men went to San Jose last Wed thru Sat of last week to do their seminar. We women were on our own. On Thurs. we went down to Manuel Antonio National Park. This is the park where we saw tons of monkeys and sloths and crabs. It is the park where the monkeys tried to steal my backpack. (For more info on that story ask Katie. She wasn't even there, but she loves to tell the story about how monkeys almost stole her mom's backpack.) We were not so fortunate this time. We saw a few monkeys way off in the distance, well at least the adults and the older 2 boys, and a few crabs and some weird rodent looking thing, but we were so expecting to see tons of monkeys. When we were going into the park, we passed some people and they said they saw lots of them, but they wouldn't come out and play with us. It was raining so maybe they were taking cover. Who knows. It was fun anyway. The kids were so good. Katie walked the whole thing. Thank goodness because there was no way I could have carried her because I already had Garret on my back. It must of really wore them out because they were sound asleep on the way home.

These are the only monkeys we saw!
