China Day 7

Today we went to the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven is an imperial complex of religious buildings. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest. Afterwards we went to the Wangfujing Snack Street.

Our Air B&B in Beijing

Good thing there was lots of railing on the stairs to dry our laundry on.
Game board on the side of the street that we found on our walk to the Temple of Heaven.
Playground that we stopped at on the way to the Temple of Heaven.

Everyone in China loved Garret.  They often stopped him for a picture or his autograph.

Restaurant that we had lunch at.  If you look in the top left corner of the picture you can see a KFC logo.  Thankfully they were all over China. Garret ate at quite a few of them.

Kirt and Katie both ate a scorpion.

There were all kinds of food that you could eat and they were all on sticks-scorpions, spiders, snakes, octopus.
Potato chips

Ice cream in a kind of waffle.  It looked a lot better than it was.
Candied fruit.  It was yummy.
