Garret's Fall Baseball Season

Garret is playing fall baseball.  His team is the Vipers again.  His coach is James Javier.  The boys on his team are Sam Javier, Lincoln Murray, Zander Isabel, They play 4 weeks of double headers in September and then the 1st week of October is a tournament.
Garret played 1st base most of the season with a little bit of outfield.  He says that 1st base is his favorite.  He's really good at it because he has a really long reach.
The first Saturday September 7th they played the . They won the first game 20-0 and the 2nd game 22-0. It wasn't very much fun because the other team was so much worse than them.
The 2nd Saturday they played the Thunder.  They lost the first game 14-3 and the 2nd game 10-4. Garret actually liked this game because there was some competition.  The other team really wasn't that much better, but Garret's team made a few big errors that let them score a bunch of runs a few times.  The 3rd Saturday they played the Jet Hawks. They beat them 25-0 and 20-0 (or something close to that). The 4th Saturday they played the Sandpoint Warriors.  They lost the first game 25-5.  The Warriors scored 20 runs in the 1st inning.  Then in the 2nd game, we scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and then played some awesome defense.  We were up 3-0 for most of the game.  The Warriors scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th.  Then in the bottom of the 7th our pitcher balked and they had a runner on 3rd so he got to come home.  So the game was tied.  They scored another run and the game was over.  We played a really good game and came back from a huge loss.

Garret's team won the championship of the Silver Bracket.  Way to go Vipers.  Their first game for the championship was at 8am and they had to be to the field at Merkel at 7:15am.  It was 27 degrees when they got there.  The first game was so cold.  Luckily it warmed up by the 2nd game.  The 1st game they played the Jet Hawks, and they won 24-0 after 2 1/2 innings. The 2nd game they played the Blaze and won 11-2 and they were the champions!
