This morning Kirt and I stayed at the hotel and Tanner came over and visited with us. It was fun to get to spend some one on one time with him. He told us about his classes, and lots about basketball. He showed us a presentation that an agent had given him about playing overseas. We played some cards.
I went to the beach when Tanner had to leave for basketball. Grammy and Pompa and Crystal and Eric had gone snorkeling in the morning and were going to come back and go on a hike with me, but they were having lots of fun snorkeling so I just went to the beach and got some sun and read my book. Kirt joined me at the end.
Tanner's senior night!! This is why we really came to Hawaii. I'm so glad we did. It was such a cool night. Plus they won their game so that made the night extra awesome! We went to a team dinner before (we didn't know there was going to be food, so we had eaten at the food court before and we were so full). Then we went to up to the game. I was a great game made even better because they won. After the game, Kirt, Emilie, and I went down on the court. They made a big circle on the court of the families of the seniors, the players and the coaches and their families after the game. They introduced each senior and they got to come one the court and get a lei from coach Ganot and then take their final shot. Then they went around the circle and got lei's from the players and family members. They took some team photos. Then they signed some autographs and then went around the stands and fans gave them more leis. Tanner did a few interviews and then took some pictures with his family. It was a really special night, and I'm glad we got to be there.
