Hawaii Trip Day 6

This morning me, Tanner, Emilie, Josh, Grammy, Crystal, and Eric hiked Makapu'u Point Lighthouse Trail.  It was a paved trail to a beautiful view that also had a lighthouse on the point.  Then we went to China Walls and Tanner and Josh went cliff jumping.  Tanner jammed his foot into a sea urchin and got a bunch of spines in his big toe.  Thankfully he got them out and his foot wasn't too sore.  Kirt, Grammy, Pompa, Crystal, Eric and I went to lunch and then to Pearl Harbor.  We didn't stay too long because Garret got his mission call and we had to go back to the hotel so we could watch him open it on Zoom (see post Garret Opens His Mission Call).  Then Grammy, Crystal, Eric, and I walked out to Waikiki to watch the sun set.

Lunch at Sweet Corner Cafe. We googled places to eat near Pearl Harbor and this place came up with really good reviews.  We drove to it and ended up in an industrial park area.  We were sure we were in the wrong place, but we saw a sign on one of the warehouses.  We walked down an alley and there was another sign on a different warehouse.  We walked down a long hall and found the restaurant.  We couldn't decide if we wanted to go, but it had good reviews, so we decided to try it.  We walked in and a very loud Chinese girl greeted us.  Her name was Chelsea.  She had to set up 2 very flimsy round card tables for us and 6 folding chairs.  We were in this very small room with 3 other groups of people.  It was very crowded and very warm.  She showed us the menu on her laptop and we ordered.  The food did end up being very good and Chelsea is now our good friend.  She was very sad that we had to leave.  She said we are family now.  She was very sad that Tanner was already married, because she really wants to marry someone tall.  She is also a student at the University of Hawaii, and I'm sure if she ever sees Tanner on campus, that she will run up and give him a big hug and tell him that she knows his family.  She also thought the picture of Crystal and Eric with Tanner was hilarious because the are so short and Tanner is so tall.  It was definitely and adventure.

Pearl Harbor-We didn't have a lot of time, but we took the boat out to the USS Arizona memorial
