4th of July Weekend

We went to the lake for the 3rd and 4th of July.  Unfortunately the weather wasn't the warmest, but we still had fun riding the jet ski, kayaks, 4 wheelers and hiking.  Grammy and Pompa came out on Saturday afternoon and played with us.

There was a fire across the lake down by the island.  Kirt and I rode the jet ski over to get a good view of it and watched it for a while.  There was a helicopter with a basket, getting water from the lake and dumping it on the fire.

After we got back from riding the jet ski to see the fire, 2 water planes came and started dumping water on the fires.  They would land in the water and refill their water tanks, dump the water on the fire, and repeat.  It was cool to watch.

Garret, Katie, and Tanner going on a 4 wheel ride.
Eating delicious burgers for dinner.
Kirt went on a 4 wheel ride after dinner.
The fire at night.  We had our own fire in the fire pit and roasted s'mores.  Garret had 6 of them.
This pontoon boat came by and was playing some patriotic music and waving the American Flag.
Saturday morning Kirt, Katie, Garret, and I went for a 5 mile hike.  Tanner had to stay and do homework.

Kirt took Tanner and Garret into town.  They missed the parade, but saw the small county fair.

Grammy and Pompa came out Saturday afternoon.  We played games and visited and had dinner. After dinner, we went home.  We went to a firework show at Avista stadium.  We just sat and watched them from our car.  The whole show was 7 minutes.  Yes that was SEVEN minutes.
