Africa Day 9

We had a long lesson in patience.  We went to the Mozambique Embassy in Swaziland to get our visas to go to Mozambique tomorrow.  We ended up waiting about 4 hours to get them.  It really took about 10 minutes when they finally helped us, but the man that needed to approve our visas was not there the whole time we were waiting.  They kept telling us he would be back soon.  When he finally got back, he quickly gave us the paperwork that we needed.  Then we had to run to the bank to pay the fee (which used to be $20 and just went up to $70 on June 1st.  They are $85 at the border and used to be really cheap in Swaziland which was why we went there to get them in the 1st place.)  So after we paid our fees at the bank (you couldn't pay at the Embassy), we went back to the Embassy and they gave us our visas.  Quite an ordeal.
You needed pictures for your visa, so this smart entrepreneuring man had his camera and printer set up right outside the Embassy.  The printer was hooked up to a car battery for power.
